OpenAI-Dotnet is now on version v2.7.0. The latest Azure OpenAI SDK is still only pullingin v2.5.0 so two releases behind (more than two months).

Can you please make sure you keep up and sync release cadence.

How can I try this out to verify that the base OpenAI .NET library works properly with Azure OpenAI?
Do you have any quick steps, sample code, or guidance to follow for testing the integration?

@janaka @MarioMartinPlaza Check out the guidance at https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/developer/ai/how-to/switching-endpoints?tabs=azure-openai&pivots=dotnet. In the "Azure OpenAI" tab of the "Authentication" section, note the unified endpoint ("/openai/v1/") being set in the client options to make this all work.

So does this mean if we use the unified resources endpoint we don't need to consume then azure sdk client?

Does this endpoint support response api as well?

@janaka That's correct. The Responses API is supported by this endpoint. See the C# samples at https://github.com/Azure-Samples/azure-openai-starter/tree/main/src/dotnet.
