Expected behavior

Never show the app chooser — show video straight in FossifyGallery

Actual behavior

Shows app chooser each time.

This is the expected behavior. The app launches a generic intent so users can choose other apps (e.g., VLC) if they prefer them. You can always set Fossify Gallery as the default.

It's a shame that this report has been closed. The selection window is annoying because if I wanted to use an app other than Fossify Gallery, I could always use the “Open with” option.
In my case, I would like to stay in Fossify Gallery all the time, regardless of whether I open a photo or a video, and at the same time I want VLC to be my default video player (e.g. when I want to play a video from the file browser).

Fossify Gallery is the only gallery app I know to work like this. I also used Aves and built-in gallery and both were opening videos in themselves, not in a default video player.
