Can't install Brew

• your problem was from running the official install or uninstall script?
• you carefully read the output and it was not a git fetch or other connection issue to GitHub (that Homebrew has no control over)?

What you were trying to do (and why)

I tried to install brew via the official install script. I tried to install brew on WSL on Windows 11.

What happened (include command output)

Installtion seems to succeed, but all command's can not be run. Furthermore the alias brew is not setup.

1. Go to https://brew.sh/
2. Run the installation script
3. Watch it fail

Do you happen to have Ruby installed on your system? What's the output of these commands:

which -a ruby
ruby --version
/home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/bin/brew commands

If you do have Ruby installed, can you try running the installer with HOMEBREW_FORCE_VENDOR_RUBY=1? In other words:

HOMEBREW_FORCE_VENDOR_RUBY=1 /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

Furthermore the alias brew is not setup.

After a successful installation, you will see the steps for setting up the environment so make sure to follow that. You haven't seen them yet because installation didn't finish.
