create buttons for View->Show Texts, View->Show Unresolved References

Navigating layout's, I'm often using the View->Show Texts and View->Show Unresolved References menu items.

Since there is a lot of "space" next to the default buttons in the gui, it would be nice if these display functions could get easily accessible buttons in the gui.

By default there are no keys assigned to this functionality.
What do "other tools" use as keyboard shortcuts for this functionality ?

That can be done with existing features :)

Just unpack the three files in the attachment into ~/.klayout/pymacros and you get two more buttons in the toolbar after restarting KLayout:

If you don't like that fantastic artwork, you can create your own icons by editing the SVG files (I used Inkscape). The function is simple: it will clone the original features (Action objects) into the tool bar and give it new icons and an icon title. I also tried if it's possible to bind keys. I used "J" (not a standard) to "show_texts" and "J" now toggles the text view.

P.S. that concept basically works on every menu entry, not just the toggle features.

Might be used often enough to add it to any "default klayout installation".
