Pairing Aqara W600 thermostat

Hey, I've recently bought two of the recently released Aqara W600 thermostats (WT-A03E), listed here in the Zigbee2MQTT docs as supported (https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/WT-A03E.html). I've installed both and put them into pairing mode, but they're not showing up in Zigbee2MQTT at all. Has anyone got one of these thermostats and can perhaps tell me how to pair them properly?

If anyone else is wondering, I figured this out. You need to download the Aqara app, add the thermostat and select Zigbee as the communication method when asked, which flashes the correct firmware on the device. This does not require an Aqara hub, but sadly I needed to sign in. I will add this to the docs, if there's a way to do this without an account, feel free to add.
