There might already exist a better approach, but it would be helpful to "handle" bottom up raster datasets via connection string like below:

gdalinfo 'VRT:///vsis3/us-west-2.opendata.source.coop/tge-labs/aef/v1/annual/2023/17N/xfbc3s1k0nrye0ub4-0000008192-0000000000.tiff?view=[:,::-1,:]' 

This would enable only a slight modification to a GTI to generate a top-down mosaic from bottom-up data sources.
