Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When building a layered presentation, it would be helpful to be able to edit lower-layered items without having to drag other objects out of the way or by pushing the top layer down until the object needed floats to the top.
Describe the solution you'd like
I have 2 ideas that may work.
- Use Ctrl-click on an object to begin a layer counter, as the user continues to hold Ctrl and click within the same "relative" pixel space, then bump the selection down the layers (temporarily bringing it to the top (focus) with the gray outline/tool border). Once it looses focus, it drops back to it's original layer.
- Another option that may be more complicated to code is the common design software "lasso affect".
- If one left-drags, all objects touched are included in selection (this is currently what happens when dragging),
- If one right-drags then only fully bounded (contained) objects are selected.
- This would allow for the "focus" of a lower-layered object that would still need the temporary focus/border to make adjustments as above.
