A lot more people have Android phone than Wear OS watch so I think this would be helpful, Apple iOS 14 did the same with a similar function.
And of course we could switch it off (off by default) if users feel that it's disturbing or annoying to them.

Some possible obstacles:

• The Phone mic is not reliable
• Sounds Recognition In-Pocket is not reliable.

Some possible solutions:

• Use gyroscope to predict when the watch is in pocket to disable listening.
  But what if there is a fire alarm when the phone is in pocket?
  => There will be "Alert only mode" which will trigger only certain alarm. That mode can be activate manually. And if the phone is in the pocket, it will automatically trigger that mode.
