Red rings on Saturn

Yes they show up just fine both on Ubuntu and MacOS, but on Ubuntu they appear orange for some reason...

On both Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.03 LTS I get red rings when viewing from Saturn. Observing Saturn from another body yields normal looking rings. See the screenshot below:

Ubuntu uses the proprietary 580 driver for Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super.

Oh! On Windows, they are always red, but on Ubuntu, they are only red when atmosphere is activated. It seems connected to the extinction reddening function.

Is this 25.3 or self-compiled from master?

After a few days of weirdness (#4616), for me it's back to normal. (Win11, 25.3 and master)

Both are self compiled from master. Would the stable 25.3 show a difference? I haven't even got it installed.

I am not aware of changes since 25.3. Weird, 2 strange errors with the rings within days, and hard to reproduce.

Okay, it does not happen on 25.3. I'll try to reset the config.

Ugh, all right, resetting the config solves this. I must have messed up somewhere... I'll try to see if there's a specific parameter that causes this, since I also get this on Windows.

Wow, that was quick. What causes this is setting extinction_mode_below_horizon = max in [astro] group. Not really sure if it's a bug or not, but it's certainly an ugly artifact. Extinction reddening of rings might need to be disabled on the observer planet.
