Feature Request: Add Alumni Tab and Dedicated Alumni Page(s) to Technical Writing Mentorship Docs

Overview

We propose adding a new Alumni tab to the technical writing mentorship documentation site. This tab will link to a dedicated Alumni page (or section), not just a dropdown or modal. The Alumni page will showcase past mentees, featuring their photos, names, and titles in a card format. The design should aim to surpass the user experience and aesthetics of the current alumni/mentees page on dx mentorship .

Feature Details

• Add a new navigation tab labeled Alumni.
• Clicking the Alumni tab opens a dedicated Alumni page.
• The Alumni page displays mentee cards grouped by year (e.g., 2023, 2024, etc.).
  • Each year can be a collapsible section or, if there are many mentees, a sub-page.
• Each mentee card includes:
  • Photo
  • Name
  • Title (Software developer)
• The design should be visually appealing, responsive, and accessible.

Design/Implementation Suggestions

• Use a card grid layout for mentee profiles.
• Consider using filters, collapsible sections, or subpages for each year to facilitate easier navigation and scalability.
• Ensure images are optimized for fast loading.
• Cards should be clickable for potential future expansion (e.g., linking to mentee profiles or testimonials).

Acceptance Criteria

• Alumni tab is visible in the main navigation bar.

• Alumni page is accessible and displays mentee cards grouped by year.

• Information for each mentee (including photo, name, and title) is clear and complete.

• Design matches the rest of the website.
