Line charts have labels on all points.

Hello,

When using the MCP server, every time the MCP server generates an imagine using generate_line_chart, I get labels on all points. Sometimes it is good, sometimes not at all because there are way too many labels.

When I ceck AntV G2 documentation it does not seem like it should be the default behavior, but when I use the MCP server, even when it is not requested by the query sent by the LLM labels are everywhere. Is there a way to get rid of them? Thanks.

Thank you for your question，
“generate_line_chart” includes labels by default, and collision detection is applied to them. However, there is no configuration option to show or hide labels at the moment.

I am slightly confused as the image on your main page with the Star History of your project does feature a line without all the label for each points, so how did you do it?

Unfortunately being able to draw a curve without having the graph saturated with labels is mandatory for my project, I tried to look for where it was in the source code but I could not find it. Any clue where I could modify the code to remove these labels? It would be much appreciated.

As you can see, this chart is interactive, so the labels are hidden by default. This project is not part of mcp-server-chart.

However, mcp-server-chart generates a static chart, and to make the data clearer, it displays labels by default.

At the moment, showing or hiding labels is not configurable. We are collecting user feedback and will consider whether to add this option in future updates. Please stay tuned.

@XinyueDu We can do a label filtering to ensure that the labels displayed on the canvas are limited to a certain range. If too many labels are displayed, there is indeed a problem.
