The duplication you see is due to the handling on the controller side. Matter is not Homekit.

Matter in Tasmota is awesome. I tried using it for the first time.
Some observations:
Device: tasmota sonoff dual r2 configured as a shutter and a sonoff pow
After running
Auto-configure remote Tasmotaon a tasmota32 device to add the above devices on the matter integration, both devices logSTATUS11every 1-3 seconds. Perhaps this is expected, but I am not sure if it will cause any latency for commands, telemetry and other status/result updates going thru mqtt. I havent made any observation yetAfter clicking on
Reset All and Auto Discoverthe device restarted with the matter commissioning QR code on the home page (commissioning was OFF before the restart). I checked if there were any devices in the matter integration. There were none (I guess because "Reset All and Auto Discover" was done). But since the commissioning was turned on by itself, i decided to scan the QR and add the accessory (bridge actually) to homekit via the home app. It added a bridge, but did not add any device (quite obviously). I then added a couple of devices (from the above two non-matter tasmota devices, usingAuto-configure remote Tasmota) to check if they appeared in the Home app without pairing again. They did not. So to test, i decided to pair again. I turned on commissioning (without any resets to the pairing code, etc) and i felt, when i try to add the accessory (bridge) in the home app again, it would complain that it is already added. But it did not complain. It successfully added the bridge and the accessories from the devices - BUT what actually happened is - the home app was now showing two bridges with the same name and each of the bridges' had the accessories from the (remote Tasmota) devices in them. I found this strange, as I have never been able to add the same bridge again when using a homekit (not matter) accessory/bridge or using homebridge - so i decided to report it hereClicking the
Reset All and Auto Discoverbutton in the UI removed all theLocal Sensors and Devicesapart from removing all "Remote" ones, but I guess since the IP address field was left blank, it did not auto discover anything again(?)I see that when a device has more than one switch or relay - The
relaysAND the stateless programmable buttons (Generic Switch/Button) get exposed in separate tiles. At least in HomeKit (not sure about amazon or google home or smartthings) one device can have all its accessories in one tile (looks like a single accessory until yu tap to open it, and see there are multiple accessories within) or at least all the same type of accessories in one tile would be fine. Why only in homekit? - Because, I know for sure that the Home App allows one to display all the accessories grouped within what looks like a accessory tile (until you open it), either separately or together. However, it does not allow splitting them into separate rooms. (This may be confusing so, i am adding some screenshots from the home app, hope that will clarify further). In particular it would be great if buttons belonging to one device are allowed to be placed into a single tile in the ios home app, reducing clutter.
