get tasmota software from an existing tasmota device

Hello,
i would like to download (or save) the tasmota firmware from an ESP32 tasmota device. How can i dow this?
The reason is, i have bricked several 4Channel controllers which where delivered with a customized tasmota. I did an update with the standard tasmota and the controller was unuseable.
So i would like to get the customized tasmota firmware from my last working device and try to reactive the others.

There is no mechanism to extract the firmware from an already flashed device. What's closest is to instead make a copy of all the flash content using a tool like esptool.py, this would include all config and naming info, which would be problematic if you then flash that clone to another device, and run them at the same time.
