Has something changed ercently? I've an ESP8266 with built in SSD1306 -had it working in ESPHOME but some sevree limits - so I thought I'd go back to Tasmota. Belkow is the log - I set displaymodel 0, displaymode 7 in the console then again in the console displaytext [z]Hi there I also checked I had i2c correct see the i2cscan. I HAVE to be missing something... 22:39:51.110 CMD: displaymodel 0 My config is gpio12 scl, gpio14 SDA (I took that from the original working ESPHOME software).. and for good measure added gpio15 as option A. The displaytext output is saying command error. I'm on tasmota display v15.1 - someone please help me get out of this jam. |

In addition to having some unused gpio as Option_A3, you also need a display descriptor. With ESP8266, the easiest is probably to have it in rule set 3.
