Search Assets Tool is complex and hard to maintain and even read. Broader Atlan MCP needs MCP best practice review.

Solution:

1. Decompose search_assets_tool into focused helper functions.
2. Refactor modelcontextprotocol/ areas for improved MCP adherence and code health.

Goals:

Improve maintainability, testability, and MCP compliance in search_assets_tool and the overall modelcontextprotocol/

hey @mohdjami, thanks for raising the issue to decompose the search_assets_tool, we are thinking to replace the tool with the AI search API we are building for the discovery. just giving a heads up - we are also trying to improve the search assets tool for now. thanks!

Hey @Hk669, Thanks for the info. Can you please provide me some more context about AI Search API? Also what improvements can we consider for the search assets tool? Things not working or eg. would be good.
