Automatic GPU Switching for Hybrid Graphics (NVIDIA/AMD)

OS: Omarchy 3.1.0
Kernel: Linux 6.17.3-arch2-1
WM: Hyprland 0.51.1 (Wayland)
Laptop: Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 16-s0xxx
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS
dGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile
iGPU: AMD Radeon 780M

I want to automatically switch GPUs based on the power state of my laptop.

• Plugged In: Use the NVIDIA RTX 4070.
• On Battery: Use the AMD iGPU to save power.

I am new to Omarchy and Hyprland (Linux actually). How can I achieve this?

The best way for you to achieve this is to plug in an external monitor, that way the monitor will always use the dgpu
