Protocol Fees vs Quoted Fees #3909

Can someone confirm if protocol fees will be automatically enabled for existing orders?

If there are plans to not take into account the creation date of the order, this should likely be reviewed by legal counsel - specifically due to the fact that fees are quoted directly in limit orders. If someone places a limit order and the UI tells them there's no fees - and then suddenly it starts charging fees anyways, that could certainly be a legal concern.
If it's not possible from a programmatic standpoint to do this, you should probably cancel all open limit orders (at the time fees kick in) to avoid legal issues related to this in the future.
