Software doesn't launch even with VC_redist.x64

Is this an installer or a portable app?

I've installed VC_redist.x64 and rebooted, however the zed.exe or zed-opengl.exe doesn't work as expected, after the security screen because of unverified app, it does absolutely nothing. Why is that?

This is a portable app. It works fine for me as well.

Since this isn't a Zed build issue (what this repo is specifically for), I would suggest to post either in the Discord* or make an issue in the official Zed repo or something

However, if I can give a piece of advice, I'd check that your GPU supports vulkan and make sure you have updated drivers that properly support vulkan (in case they didn't before).

That happened to me when I tried to use Zed inside a virtual machine, it complained about Vulkan driver or something in the log file %LocalAppData%\Zed\logs\Zed.log which is weird because I have Vulkan working fine on the VM so no idea why that is!

This might not be directly related to your issue, but it appears that any Windows 11 distribution of Zed requires the .NET Runtime 6.0.36 framework to run properly. (At least from my experience.)
