Do the diagrams created with excalidraw-vscode stay local to the users computer?

One could image, that excalidraw-vscode might use some servers from excalidraw.com or some other third-party servers for rendering or some such and send the created diagrams there.

Is that the case or not?

I guess as excalidraw itself seems to be MIT licensed there is no reason to use some "whatever as a service" offering. But better to check with the authors :)
