Markdown text with "&" renders as "Q\&A" on Galaxy Hub pages

When using Markdown that contains an ampersand (&) in normal text, such as “Q&A”, the generated HTML incorrectly escapes it to Q&A in the rendered site.

This happens across Galaxy Hub pages (e.g. news posts) like these:
