Minimal example reproducing the issue

Steps to reproduce

1. Add any Geojson file
2. Add two Marker
3. Use the split layer tool and connect the two markers to split a polygon
4. Split doesn't happen

Expected behavior

I'm using custom markers as a snapping point to split a geojson layer, but sometimes it splits, and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure why, but it should always split the polygon layer.
