Gemini-cli is getting worse by the day

Constant messages indicating: This conversation approached the input token limit for auto. A compressed context will be sent for future messages
Changing from Pro to Fast mid changes even when the cli was just started, so nowhere near the advertised 1M tokens....

Constant errors following user instructions... "Gemini: Shell git status (Checking the current git status to see the modified files.)" Then I had to cancel, and I told the AI: "NO GIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WITHOUT MY EXPLICIT REQUEST"
I was already tired of the constant BS.

Then, what does the Gemini-cli do a few changes later? "Gemini: Shell git status (Checking the current git status to see the modified files.)"

This, after trying for hours to fix a state machine where I keep telling Gemini that the issue is still happening after many "failed" attempts to fix the same issue, with focused and directed inputs and logs to show the problem, and after every single attempt, Gemini tries to write to Git with a commit saying the issue was fixed....
