cannot scroll on the cli

What happened?

when i use the cli, i cannot read the outputed content, since, the interface does not allow scroll. This is very bad for usability and usefulness of the tool.

What did you expect to happen?

when using the mouse scroll, it should go up or down, allowing vertical navigation.

You should be able to scroll. Which terminal are you using on windows?
For some terminals you may have to enable mouse events.

@jacob314 Jacob, there are dozens of messages with the same issue.

I am encountering this on standard Windows PowerShell and Command Prompt (cmd.exe) running via the default Windows Console Host (conhost.exe).

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists:

Node Version: Downgraded from Node v22 to Node v20 LTS (using nvm-windows).

CLI Version: Clean reinstall of the stable package (npm install -g @google/gemini-cli).

Behavior:

Scroll: Completely locked/disabled. (by mousewheel or ctrl+shift+pgup

It seems the TUI is capturing the mouse events but not passing the scroll action back to the terminal buffer. This started happening recently (approx. 2 days ago); previously, it worked fine in the same environment."
