Input box should support Ctrl/Option backspace #14400

I would like to see support for deleting input in the prompt box word by word with Ctrl+Backspace on Windows and Option+Backspace on Macos.
Why is this needed?
This is a feature that exists in most GUI text input fields, allowing for rapid revision of large amounts of text. Prompts can be rather large, so having the ability to delete word by word offers a significant productivity and usability improvement.
