[BUG] Can't return normal mode in `oppend` mode

• ZSH framework: zinit v3.14.0-6-g2daaac2d (linux-gnu_x86_64)
• ZSH version: zsh 5.9 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu)
• ZVM version: zsh-vi-mode 0.11.0

Basic examination

• I have read through the README page
• I have the latest version of zsh-vi-mode
• I have tested with another terminal program ('alacritty' on Windows)

Problem description

Can't use <ESC> to return normal mode when oppend mode.

Reproduction steps

1. Into normal mode
2. Press c, then into oppend mode
3. Press <ESC>

Expected behavior

Press <ESC> return normal mode in oppend mode
