I suspect some kind of weakness in kiwix-build because with have version 9.4.0 in libzim and version 9.3.0 declared in kiwixbuild/versions.py.

@veloman-yunkan The problem is around EXPORT_FILES in common.py. It should not depend of the version, but just take whatever there is (we should here just have a regex IMHO). Can you please have a look?

The problem disappeared after the version of libzim in main_project_versions in kiwixbuild/versions.py was updated to match the project version in meson.build of the libzim repository.

Yes, core of the problem is that we take libzim/libkiwix git head (basicaly a random version) but the nightly packager expect the .so files of the version given/hardcoded in kiwix build.

After discussing the matter with @rgaudin and benefiting of the feedbacks of PR #872, we propose to be stricter (instead of looser) with the file we copy from EXPORT_FILES in robuster-libzim-archive-packaging. So we keep the version specific copy of files but if a mandatory file is not here, it should die. That way we will have less "surprises" if there is some kind of inconsistency/bug.

I let the python devs working on this issue.

That been said, the core problem is that our C++ projects version are hardcoded in main_project_versions variable in versions.py, it should not be there and I have open an issue for that, see #880
