Dnfdragora hangs on start: Python3 not responding

I had this same problem and that dnfdragora --qt command fixed it. So thanks for the info!
I also modified that same command to application shortcut so it works from there too.

dnfdragora freezes when starting with GTK plugin in minimalist environment

Environment:

Fedora 43, Openbox (Minimalist desktop without complete GNOME or KDE).

Issue Description:

The freezing happens intermittently when starting with the GTK plugin (dnfdragora --gtk or just dnfdragora). Sometimes it runs fine.

When running the application with other plugins, the freezing does not occur:

dnfdragora --qt

or

dnfdragora --ncurses

Workaround/Tip for other users:

If someone lands here (on this issue) and wants to try the --qt key, make sure libyui-qt is installed first:

sudo dnf install libyui-qt

Otherwise, dnfdragora will silently fall back to --gtk without warning you, and the issue will persist.

Correct, libyui decides the best fitting backend, or the one present if the best fitting is not installed.

Regarding the problem I'm working on libyui replacement inside python-manatools, thought it is a hugh work i'm not sure it could be fixed soon. If any python developer is interested, please contact me in private
