The custom lists facility is hard to discover and unintuitive

Is it a bug?

• I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.

Current Behavior

I had wished that the app had the facility to create a collection of locations. Then by accident I discovered that it . . does. Now that I have started to use the feature, I cannot see how the app was before I did so; but, as I have suggested already, the feature seems hard to discover.

When I did discover the facility, it took me a while to work out how to use. One must click, not the 'edit' symbol within the 'custom section', nor the (initially functionless) arrow within that section, but, rather, the 'plus' symbols that appear - now that one has created a list - along side each pre-existing server.

Expected Behavior

The list facility should be easily discoverable.

It should be intuitive to create a list. (I am unsure how one would do that. One could restort to instructions within the window or in a tooltip.)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Fail to see that there is a (custom) list facility.
2. Having stumbled upon the facility, be baffled, for a while at least, as to how to use it.

Hi @LinuxOnTheDesktop,

We do have plans to re-structure how the interaction with the relay list & custom lists work. The Android app works as a showcase for that already, do you happen to have the opportunity to try that one out? If so, please let us know what you think 😊

This issue is not really workable, but since we are actively looking into this atm I'll keep it open for now.

I have not tried the Android app.

The (Windows) desktop app makes it laborious to switch to a location-within-one's list difficult. For, in order to do that, one must do all of the following, in order.

1. Click the taskbar icon.
2. Click 'switch location'.
3. Scroll up a long way, so as to reach one's list.
4. Click the chevron next to one's list.
5. Click the desired item within the list.
