Passing Objects to --matrix

Does the --matrix argument support passing more complex workflow inputs?

For example, my workflow has this in its strategy section:

target_triple:
          - name: x86_64-pc-windows-msvc
            arch: amd64
          - name: aarch64-pc-windows-msvc
            arch: arm64

and I can't seem to get act to parse any arg to --matrix for target_triple. it just silently doesn't run anything
