Effectively… but importantly not exactly right. Your example doesn't expand because zsh-abbr doesn't parse the string; ABBR_REGULAR_ABBREVIATION_SCALAR_PREFIXES+=( '"' "'" )
As an ergonomic keyboard geek myself, that sounds exhausting 😆 🙈 |

I see the current behaviour is not to expand abbreviations if we are inside quotes.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
Reason: I just realised today that I could save my thumbs a great deal of smartphone typing fatigue in Termux if I had global abbreviations for awkward-to-type strings like
