There have been some updates to this. First, the MCP server has been largely switching to the "remote MCP" option, with dynamic client registration. The PAT-based auth is being phased out. Secondly, yes, it is available for CLI/local-development. Last but not least, I've just added some instructions on how to enable it safely for self-hosted Supabase. Sadly, outside of the managed platform it doesn't come with OAuth 2.1 yet, so you have to make extra care to not expose it to the Internet. More here:

Hello, I would like to know how to connect my Supabase self-hosted instance with the MCP. Can you provide me with the necessary steps or documentation for this integration? Thanks in advance.
I noticed that the “Connect” feature for connecting the MCP is available on the hosted version of Supabase, but does not appear on the self-hosted version. Could you tell me if this functionality is intended for self-hosting or if there is an alternative method of connecting the MCP?
Personally, I have the Supabase version installed on Coolify.
Do you know how I can get the MCP for my Supabase? 🙂 Please
