Apple vs Android issue

Hi, we are having issues connecting our Quelea remote app when using IPads.  We have recently bought new Apple Ipads and we cannot connect the remote app to Quelea on the PC.  We can if we use an android device, such as a Kindle fire or even my Samsung phone.  Any suggestions?
