As I mentioned on Zulip I end up on

And all the content there is is shown twice. It's browser independent (verified on Chrome and Firefox) and probably related to a template in Docusaurus.

More context to this issue straight on the Docusaurus site. I don't think it has been fixed yet as v4 hasn't been released (currently on v3.9)

Oh wait - it might have been fixed. Would need to check if it is in v3.9 or the next version. Then we could potentially just upgrade our Docusaurus version.

Ok. I can't read correctly today. Actually that fix is for a site using Docusaurus, not using Docusaurus itself. Not sure if Docusaurus will upstream it somehow or not, but maybe we can copy the fix for our site, if we consider it important to fix now. Otherwise, probably waiting for Docusaurus v4.

I am going to suggest we #wontfix this issue, particularly with a bandaid on Docusaurus. I chatted with the maintainer of Docusaurus and it is best to either wait to see if Docusaurus 4.0 fixes it or move to a hosting platform that supports server-side redirects. Client-side redirects on the root index.html are not supported well with the current Docusaurus redirect plugin.

For now we should just to advocate and link to canonical URLs.
