Failing conda check

This worked for me, mostly. When I run test_installation.py, I get

$ python test_installation.py
conda 4.3.22
please update conda ($ conda update conda), we need conda >= 4.1.0

Which looks like I have what I need, but the test script is failing to recognize it.
