4k60fps Video horrible performance after update

Describe the bug
After updating, trying to watch a 4k60fps video is impossible, very laggy and stuttery

Expected behavior
The video to play without issue as normal.

Environment (please complete the following information):

• OS/Platform and version: Linux - Fedora 34
• ungoogled-chromium version: 95.0.4638.54 (Flatpak)

Does it happen on non-Flatpak version? Fedora hasn't updated their chromium package so I cannot update the -fedora repo, but you can try a portable build with #1693.

@wchen342 I'd prefer to keep the flatpak but i will see if i test it.
I should also say that i had this configured:

--enable-features=VaapiVideoDecoder
--ignore-gpu-blocklist
--enable-gpu-rasterization
--enable-zero-copy
--disable-gpu-driver-bug-workarounds
--enable-accelerated-video-decode
--use-gl=desktop

Although i should say that it doesnt really fixed it fully for me... On youtube, 1080p or 4k video works normally however any resolution with 60fps for example 1080p60, 4kp60 doesnt seem to as i can notice by my laptop fans, even on 1080p60 when 4k just plays fine so thats another issue i would open if you'd like.
Anyways i removed those flags to test if 4kp60 would play normally but no still the same.
What info can i give you about the issue?

I think video acceleration works differently in Flatpak? @rany2 The reason I asked you to test a portable build is to identify whether the problem is flatpak only.

Yeah i understand of course, can you tell if portable builds are configured to not leave traces in the system outside where it was built? just dont want to have any problems later due to any files leftover

It will produce a profile folder in ~/.config/chromium if the path does not exists. Otherwise it shouldn't add anything else AFAIK.

Clone https://github.com/wchen342/ungoogled-chromium-building-scripts.git and follow the commands in https://github.com/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium/pull/1693/files#diff-b335630551682c19a781afebcf4d07bf978fb1f8ac04c6bf87428ed5106870f5R152.

You need to install dependencies yourself though since you are not on Debian based system.

This appears to be an issue with Chromium on Linux in general:

• VAAPI seems to stopped working with latest release (95.0.4638.54) flathub/org.chromium.Chromium#169

Im now on 96 (flatpak cc @rany2 ) however even though that the stutters are gone and videos play fine it seems that hardware decoding doesnt really work.. should i open an issue?
