Materialize, which I am a user of, has a dbt-core integration that seems to work nicely with dbt-unit-testing, except for one aspect, which is that you need to appropriately set the cluster for running queries on.
I'm not sure if the approach I used is optimal, please let me know.
Note: dbt-unit-testing is far superior to native dbt unit tests for us, as it allows mocking indirect references and sources of the model being tested, as opposed to just the direct dependencies.
