Empowering cities to plan a greener and healthier future using environmental data and AI.
Many cities face air pollution, extreme heat, and inadequate basic sanitation — factors that reduce quality of life and increase health risks.
Urban planners need tools based on real data to make smarter, more sustainable decisions.
Our solution:
We created EcoMind, an interactive web app that maps vulnerable urban regions using NASA’s open environmental data.
- 🗺️ Interactive map with environmental layers (air quality, temperature, vegetation index)
- 📊 Indicators per neighborhood/region for environmental quality assessment
- 🤖 AI-powered recommendations suggesting smart actions:
- Tree planting
- Park creation
- Sanitation improvements
- 🧩 Simulation tool — visualize “What if…” scenarios such as:
- “What if trees were planted in this area?”
- “What if a water treatment plant were installed?”
EcoMind then displays the predicted impact through metrics and data visualizations, helping planners design healthier cities.

Nossa solução:
Criamos o EcoMind, um aplicativo web interativo que mapeia regiões urbanas vulneráveis utilizando dados ambientais abertos da NASA.

- 📊 Indicadores por bairro/região para avaliação da qualidade ambiental
- 🤖 Recomendações com IA que sugerem ações inteligentes:
- Plantio de árvores
- Criação de parques
- Melhoria do saneamento
- 🧩 Simulador de cenários “E se...?”, como:
- “E se árvores fossem plantadas nesta área?”
- “E se uma estação de tratamento fosse instalada?”
O sistema mostra o impacto previsto através de métricas e visualizações de dados, auxiliando gestores a planejarem cidades mais saudáveis.
