Also I'm a bit confused that hydrogensulfide is protected as bbcode in the German Glossary, but shouldn't there be more protected bbcodes then or is hydrogensulfide special among the bbcodes? Is there a list of bbcodes somewhere?

Yes, there should be, however I've not managed to make the main dictionary only editable by site staff, so random people add totally bad quality terms that have no business being in the main dictionary there. I still cared about it like a year+ ago and occasionally cleaned up bad entries and fixed explanations and commented to people how the dictionary should be used. However, the problem has not stopped so I'm just tired of maintaining it. So I've basically given up and random people just put whatever they want in the dictionary. And don't then but in the core terms that should actually be in there. So that's the answer to any question related to a missing term in the dictionary or having a totally generic word that doesn't make sense to have a translation is that there's nobody responsible for making sure the dictionary is good.

I was about to ask for more details, but I see a bunch of errors with DNS on our servers. So just like AWS did with us-east-1 region, it looks like our server host's datacenter has major DNS problems since yesterday.

Is there a list of bbcodes somewhere?

ALL words in the data section of bbcode elements is protected and may not be translated.

And yeah just like the caps text says, the bbcode data section uses internal names that may not be translated because otherwise everything breaks and the translation will look totally broken in game with the bbcode tags not being processed.

Ah ok but the Glossary itself is not the important part but the bbcodes in the actual game translations, right?
Then I might restructure the bbcode-keywords into "bbcode" context in the German glossary, to make this more clear.

Yes, the dictionary only exists on the translations website and has no effect on the game itself. If I could I would put a big notice on the dictionary that it makes little sense to focus on it before a language translation is actually pretty complete as there's no visible benefit in the game from having a completed language dictionary, especially when a bunch of terms are filled in by random users who don't consider whatsoever what would be key terms or even translatable as a single unit when putting stuff into the dictionary.

This is incorrect, there should be no escape on the quotes put on Weblate when translating.

However, I'll note that in the raw gettext format as strings are enclosed in quotes, on the saved text in the game there must be escapes for the quotes otherwise the .po files will be invalid syntactically and cannot be loaded.

The Czech Glossary seems to have some bug: "The component contains several duplicated translation strings."
I tried fixing that by deleting some entries but that didn't fully solve it, maybe someone with access rights can have a look at the file, to see what is the problem.

That has shown up for all dictionaries. It happened like 6 or so months ago? And probably someone added something to the English dictionary and marked is as a term that then was copied to all of the dictionaries. So it is just all messed up due to everyone having write access to it. That's also kind of the reason why I've given up on trying to keep it fixed.

Ok I fixed it, seems you were right there was an empty string in the English dictionary and some other duplicates.
