Description

New Claude block version (v2) to introduce breaking changes:

  • Add Claude Opus 4.5 and remove deprecated models
  • Change default model to Sonnet 4.5
  • Add extended thinking support for deeper reasoning
  • Consume responses using stream to avoid max_tokens limitations (ref, ref)
  • Make max_tokens optional with model output limit as default
  • Improve error messages with stop_reason checking
  • Fix temperature range validation (0.0-1.0) and prevent use with extended thinking
  • Add metadata to show readable model names instead of IDs
  • Update recommended parsers to v2 versions
  • Add unit tests
