Working Group Elections
For more details on the process and eligibility, see https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/project/working_groups.html
This page is for the 2nd cycle of WG (2025-2026). Still WIP and subject to TSC approval.
To be able to nominate yourself as a voting member of the working group, you must be a Zephyr project Collaborator and be able to participate both online (WG meetings) and offline (discord, email, etc.) in WG discussions and decision making. Decisions made in a working group require a consensus with a 60% quorum, so your continuous participation in the working group activities is essential for its success.
Elections and term dates will be set once nominations for a WG are complete. At least 5 voting members required for each group, ideally from different organisations. The number of nominations for each group is unlimited as long as the above requirements are fullfilled. Please add your name in one or more of the working groups below to nominate yourself.
Note that attending a working group continues to be open to everyone as before, however, decisions and recommendations require majority vote among the voting members of the Working groups.
Deadline for nominations is December 3rd.
Depending on the working group and number of nominations submitted, an election process will take place to select the members of the WG and the chair/co-chair.
Once all nominations are in, each group will review the nominations and agree on the following:
- Number of voting members (minimum of 5)
- In the cases where the number of nominations exceeds the minimal member (5), the TSC will decide if a vote is required or if the list of nomination should be accepted as is.
- In cases where a vote is deemded necessary, the TSC will vote for the members of a WG using the Ranked voting method. (TBD: Each TSC member ranks their top X candidates out of the list of nominees. Multiple representatives from the same organisation are allowed.)
- You do not need to be a TSC member to nominate yourself
- TSC members can nominate themselves to any working group.
- Each group is required to communicate the results to the TSC for confirmation.
